Angel, Jesus and Guillermo

Our experience allows us to empathize with entrepreneurs fundraising, having a clear view of the value-add an investor can provide

2013

We launched Lottus Capital Partners with a third partner, Jesus Lanza, one of the first traditional Search Funds raised in Mexico and Latin America

Our experience allows us to empathize with entrepreneurs fundraising, having a clear view of the value-add an investor can provide

2015

We concluded our search phase with the acquisition of Universidad Tres Culturas, a private university, under the umbrella of Lottus Education, a vehicle we founded to invest in higher education

Our success was a result of implementing best practices reaching out to business owners, leveraging brokers and executing negotiations

2015 - 2018

We ran the Company as Co-CEOs for 3 years, implementing a detailed strategic plan that resulted in an organic three-fold increase in the size of the business

Our operational principles guided the decision-making process and delivered significant value for our shareholders

2018

We launched ALZA Capital Partners, and created a liquidity event for the majority of our shareholders, providing one of the best returns in the Search Fund asset class

We remain involved as active Shareholders, supporting the leadership team in the consolidation of the higher education sector

Today

We continue to build upon the momentum, with Lottus Education becoming one of the fastest growing higher education platforms in LatAm

We have complemented organic growth with strategic acquisitions, such as Universidad Latinoamericana in 2019, reaching +45,000 students and 37 campuses
